This is Maria.  Maria has never had a chance to go to school or learn to read and write.   From an early age she has had to work in order to support the family.   She is a rock of stability in her community and loved by many of our loan recipients.   Maria has received a loan from David/Jonathan but is really interested in joining our team as a Co-op Group Leader.   We are beginning to spend time with Maria, teaching her to read and write, and how to teach lessons to the other ladies so that in her future, she can become a Co-Op Group leader.   She is a gem.
